REK continues to explore new subject matters continuing in the style his work has become synonymous with. The deconstructed male figure is juxtaposed against geographic retro patterned fabric, the model is poised gazing thoughtfully, when he is visited by a glorious new inclusion for REK in the form of a glorious Monarch butterfly - composed in the artists signature hybrid stye, the hyper realistic butterfly gently drifts by under the gaze of the deconstructed male model subject. Raw graphite pencil and acrylic have been roughly applied along with impasto gel which obscures the background design. Sections of the pattern appear through the main subject in this edgy new work by REK
