REK continues his popular freedom of nature series. In this large scale, bold abstract interpretation of the artists favorite flower - The citrus scent and beautiful cream blooms of this tree last only a day or two making their achingly beautiful and structural blossoms even more captivating as a result of their temporary nature - particularly in this work REK explores the briefness of beauty, in only a day the blooms turn from Creamy white to rusty orange.
REK uses free flowing liquid mediums and graphite pencil - revises the bold gestural movements his work first took on at the genesis of his career as an artist.
